window asks what happens between an image and its reflection? "Tell the truth, but tell it slant" (Dickenson), this intentional refraction creates a chasm where questions of place, time, and disorientation begin to emerge.

nowhere, is a series of collages and cut outs created from old military albums and historic landscape photography of the 1960s, when my father was in the military. The work investigates what Munira Khayyat calls “naturalized war”, when war is so pervasive in a place, that it becomes naturalized into the landscape. Juxtaposed are photos of family members, many of whom were refugees, with their contexts cut-out, their backdrops replaced with everywhere and nowhere, wherever the viewer happens to be when they pick up the photo and look upon it.

143 This installation was created from found household objects in a demolished building in Palestine. In this work, four women gather, try to preserve a longing for home from out of destruction, and hold tight to a scaffolding of words: a home they were told existed, a home from which they were expelled, a home from which they fled, a home that never was. This installation was accompanied by a book of texts written by each artist about each found item in English, Arabic and Hebrew. The installation slowly reduced, as passersby and the neighboring unhoused population removed and took the objects. By April 2023, the entire site was demolished, including this work.
